ID MyHorse

OUR NEW TAGS ARE AMAZING!

ID MyHorse is excited about our latest-generation tag!

Check out the Our Story page for details.

Under the OUR STORY tab is a video about how to braid the tag into the mane.

PLEASE NOTE the size difference between the old tags and the new ones.

The new tags are 2 x 3.25 inches and weigh .6 ounces.

The old RIDER tags are 2.75 x 4 inches and weigh 1.6 ounces.

The NEW tags are the only ones with the reflective strip to facilitate being seen at night. We believe these tags are appropriate for ID on the horse, whereas the older version, which is available as a RIDER tag, is suitable for medical and emergency information for the RIDER.  Both tags clearly show the universally recognized RED CROSS symbol.

NOTE: We have a limited supply of our FIRST GENERATION tags.

This version has the ID-MyHorse logo on BOTH sides and does NOT have the Red Cross logo. If you order 4 or more NEW ID-MyHorse tags, we will send you a complimentary First Generation tag. They still have value as an ID tag on saddles, contact information on a camp or horse show stall, or other scenarios where identification is needed. Offer good while supplies last.

WE STAND BEHIND OUR PRODUCT. We have become aware of THREE incidences where the tag strap ripped at the hole where the buckle inserts. One happened on one of our own horses after 9 months of continual wear. The other two happened on a customer’s horse after only weeks of continual wear. This is field testing at its best. It is quite possible that it ripped because the horse caught it on something… we all know that horses should live in padded stalls! If the leather strap gets very dry, it is at greater risk of breakage. Periodically you should check the strap and apply some oil if it appears cracked or dry. There is no question that the weakest point will be where the hole pierces the leather. Should this become a consistent problem, we will address it. By the same token, many of our horse products require replacement due to wear and tear. We do not expect these tags to last the entire lifetime of your horse, any more than one blanket or set of fly leggins would last!

If you experience this problem, please send us a photo and we will work with you to get a replacement strap. We had one tag break where the strap was inserted in the pouch section. This was almost certainly the result of being yanked by that horse’s pasture mate! If your horse is wearing the tag 24/7, please check it regularly to be sure you don’t lose the tag and that your horse is always protected. We welcome feedback of any kind at any time.
