Our 3rd generation tags weigh .63 ounces and feature two reflective strips on each side. This reflective tape is identical to what is on a firefighter’s uniform and was added at the request of firefighters. It is critically important that firefighters have the ability to spot a horse at night or in smoky conditions. These tags will stay braided into manes for weeks or months at a time. Rarely is there any time to prepare for a rapidly exploding wildfire.
The universal Red Cross symbol is immediately recognizable as emergency information by all First Responders. These smaller tags are so compact and lightweight that a rider will forget they are attached to a belt or equestrian vest, and yet they will be immediately visble to EMTs if emergency medical attention is necessary.

The fold-out that it comes with to fill in with details is really useful because it asks for more data that would have occurred to me.
